I've always been passionate about the arts, from musical performances, writing, to drawing. Drawing especially is a peaceful activity for me. Even though it can be tricky, I think that's what I like about it; having the ability to surmount a problem again and again.

Mostly I'm self-taught, however my dad, who is an amazingly talented artist in his own right, has been a great mentor and motivation to me throughout the years. People say to paint what you love, and I am inspired by a great many things. My primary mediums to capture them are soft pastels and, more recently, charcoal.

One thing I always tell my daughter is that she doesn't have to be perfect - to turn those mistakes into “Happy Accidents,” and that is what I try to do in my work.
