My work is about emotion, connection, and the stories we carry with us.

Working primarily in soft pastel and charcoal, I use both mediums in different ways. Pastel allows me to explore color, atmosphere, and the warmth of a moment, while charcoal strips an image down to its essentials: light, shadow, gesture, and emotion. Regardless of the medium, I am drawn to subjects that feel human—faces, figures, animals, and moments that suggest something beyond what is immediately visible.

I have always been interested in the space between beauty and imperfection. I don't want my work to simply reproduce what a photograph shows. I want it to capture what an idea feels like. A glance, a gesture, a memory, a moment of vulnerability, or even something as simple as the way light falls across a face can tell a much larger story.

Much of my work is intentionally open to interpretation. I like creating images that make people stop for a moment and wonder what happened before the scene, what might happen after it, or why it affects them in the first place. Much of my work can be playful, but I don't shy away from the dark. Regardless, nearly all of them begin with the same question: What does this make me feel?

I also believe art can have a purpose beyond the artwork itself. Through commissions, exhibitions, and projects supporting causes important to my community, I try to use my work to create connection and give something back.

Ultimately, I don't want my paintings to tell people what to feel. I want them to give people a reason to feel something at all.
